Rudrudu Movie Review, Cast And Rating

Rudrudu is the latest bilingual iBomma movie starring Raghava Lawrence, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sarath Kumar, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Nassar, Redin Kinsley, and Kaali Venkat.

Directed and produced by Kathiresan, Rudrudu is an action-packed movie that combines emotions, drama, and entertainment. But does it live up to the expectations? Let’s find out in this Rudrudu movie review.

Rudrudu Story Review

Rudrudu tells the story of Rudhra (Raghava Lawrence), a software engineer who lives happily with his parents. He falls in love with Dr Ananya (Priya Bhavani Shankar) and soon gets married. However, their happy life is rocked by a powerful goon named Bhoomi (Sarath Kumar).

To find out the reason behind it and how Bhoomi is connected to it, watch Rudrudu on the big screen. While the movie tries to showcase Rudhra’s love for his parents and care for his family during challenging situations, the story needs more innovation.

Rudrudu Artists Review

Raghava Lawrence plays the role of Rudhra, which highlights his mass image. His trademark antics and high-energy dance moves are a treat for the masses, but it might seem over-the-top for some viewers. Sarath Kumar plays the role of the antagonist, and he delivers a decent performance.

Priya Bhavani Shankar looks cute and beautiful on screen and does full justice to her role. Nassar and Poornima Bhagyaraj play the role of parents quite well. Kaali Venkat is also good in the role of a friend. However, the characters need more depth and seem one-dimensional.

Rudrudu Technicians Review

The movie’s first half is about elevating Rudhra’s heroism by including intense action sequences. Only after the first half the real story is narrated. The second half creates little interest with only one twist.

The screenplay and direction come up with routine colours, and the editing of Anthony could have been better. Rajasekhar’s cinematography is okay and in sync with the story. GV. Prakash Kumar, Dharan Kumar, and OlRo’s mass beats are impressive, and the choreography of one song is outstanding.

Sam. CS’s background score elevates the scenes, but it is usually loud. The stunt choreography is intense and appeals to the masses but is not original.

Rudrudu Movie Rating Analysis

Rudrudu’s one twist in the second half is the only advantage of the movie. The story, screenplay, and direction must be updated, formulaic, and innovative, making it predictable. The over-the-top scenes and repetitive editing are a disadvantage for the film.

Overall, Rudrudu is a routine mass entertainer with a valid and interesting point. The movie highlights how criminals find ways to make money by targeting innocents, but the point is lost in routine elements. The film’s heroism elevates Raghava Lawrence, and the story suits his love for mass movies. However, the lack of innovation and originality in the story, screenplay, and direction leads to a rating of 3 out of 5.

Conclusion

Rudrudu is a typical mass entertainer that fails to leave a lasting impression. While Raghava Lawrence’s energy and action sequences might appeal to his fans, the weak story, repetitive scenes, and over-the-top acting make it a tedious watch for others.

The film could have benefited from a stronger screenplay and better direction that balanced the commercial elements with exciting twists and turns.

Overall, Rudrudu is strictly for genre fans who enjoy mindless action and are not seeking a meaningful cinematic experience.
