In the eerie realms of horror, an upcoming Malayalam masterpiece is poised to send shivers down spines. “Bramayugam”, translated as the “Age of Madness,” is the brainchild of director Rahul Sadasivan, known for his previous work on “Bhoothakaalam” (2022). This chilling tale is set to unfold under the joint production of Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S. Sashikanth, bringing it to life through Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios.
Picture this: Mammootty, the legendary actor, steps into the shoes of Kunjamon Potti, taking on a role veiled in mystery and madness. The genesis of this horror tale took shape when producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra met Rahul Sadasivan after the release of “Bhoothakaalam” (2022). This collaboration birthed Night Shift Studios, dedicated to the art of horror storytelling.
Filming commenced on the auspicious day of Kerala New Year, on 17 August 2023, at Kochi’s MJI Studios. The shoot unfolded with a customary pooja ceremony and continued its eerie journey in Ottapalam. Mammootty wrapped up his scenes by 16 September, concluding the filming on 18 October 2023.
The movie is poised to cast its spell on audiences as it unveils on February 15, 2024. With a haunting storyline, stellar cast, and a team dedicated to the art of horror, “Bramayugam” beckons viewers into the heart of madness.
